I was trying to clean my studio last night and turned on some worship music. I was listening to Mercy Me, and the song Bring The Rain came on. I have heard that song a thousand times but last night it hit me like a ton of bricks. I just knew that I had to scrap those lyrics. They are exactly how I have felt at so many times in my life recently. I started crafting like a crazy woman, I could not stop until I was done. This is what I came up with,
What is a layout without a little glitter.
Have you ever had a song speak to you on a profoundly deep level? If so share.
I feel that way about the 'la bamba'.
no, i feel that way about that christian song that says 'and i'll never know how much it cost, to see my sin upon that cross'
and 'hosanna'

I finally updated, this week has been crazy!
I love this song. Have you read Audrey Caroline's story at audreycaroline.blogspot.com? If ever anyone knew what that song meant, it's Angie (Audrey's mom).
Your layout is fabulous. I never fail to be moved by that song and you have inspired me to do a layout about it, about the "rain" in my life and my faith.
thanks Jen! ((hugs))

Your layouts inspire me...especially this one! I love the glitter butterflies. I've read through some of your posts here and love your blog. I will be back often. Thanks for the comment on my Nitty.Gritty. blog. It allowed me to find you! And I'm wondering what the name of your recent senior pic guy is....he's cute and I bet he has a strong name. You know I'm on the lookout for boy names. =)
Thanks again for your blog link. I'm so glad I stopped by. I think I may have to cut a felt tree for my next project. Yours is adorable. Happy scrapping and all the best on your life journey!
Sweetly~ Jody

This is fabulous!! Thank you so much for your comment as well. These lyrics speak to my heart in such a great way, and this page is just perfect. I love how you used bright colors too. "Bring the rain" doesn't sound too happy but in the sense of the song, these bright colors are so perfect because they remind me of the hope in the rain the song speaks of. Thank you for sharing!! xoxo

I was going to suggest Angie as well!
I wish my layouts looked like that.
Oh, I'm here via Nitty.Gritty.

Thankyou for visiting me in my corner :) I KNOW... I get all snotty and heart-achey whenever I read her as well. But I love her deeply... in a truly non-stalkerish way. *grin* God ~is~ great. I love how he created us communal; my hubby just doesn't get it, why I like to blog so much... being the type of person who if he just had me and the kids for the rest of his life, he'd be fine. As much as I love my husband and my children, I think I'd go nuts. But that's between you me and the gate post, yeah? *wink*
Hope to see you around my digs again.

Hi! Beautiful Layout. I definitely have a song; it actually gives me chills in my car every day!!! It's beautiful; the lyrics are just indescribable to me... It's by Sanctus Real called "Whatever your doing"
Some of the lyrics: If you haven't heard it check it out
"Whatever your doing inside of me
it feels like chaos; somehow theres peace
and it's hard to surrender to what I can't see
but I'm giving in to something heavenly" it's all about surrendering to what God is doing in our lives. It's beautiful!
If thats not enough Leeland has a good one called falling for you; brings happy tears to my eyes...
"I'm falling for you now; I'm coming back to the place where we parted it's for real this time so I'll be here when and where we 1st started" I think I'll have to make myself a layout on how much these songs speak to me. See you soon! :)

desperation band's "amazed," the one that goes "i'm amazed by you and how you love me." i heard it for the first time after a week long DEEP soul search into my past and had an encounter with His love for me specifically, not just that great "love" that i fortunately can tap into, but a love created and focused entirely on little ol me. it starts out "you dance over me while i am unaware" and it was crazy b/c that was -what He had spoken to me earlier in the week. not those words exactly (duh) but just the message and comfort that He was there and was loving me in the midst of the worst & loneliest time in my life.
much love to you from your wordy friend.
